Both Marco Polo Marine and Hong Leong Asia ranked among the 10 stocks of the group with highest 2025 returns and net institutional inflow.Among the group, Sanli Environmental, Soilbuild Construction Group, Low Keng Huat (Singapore), Sunpower Group, ASL Marine Holdings, Vallianz Holdings, KSH Holdings, Lum Chang Holdings, Spindex Industries, and Ever Glory United Holdings saw the highest percentage increase in 2H25 ADT to 1H25 ADT.The FTSE ST Industrials Index has gained 3% in early January trading (as of 1100am Jan 6), following a 44% total return in 2025. The Index draws its constituents from the FTSE ST All‑Share Index, FTSE Russell’s broad Singapore benchmark that aggregates large-, mid-, and small‑cap companies listed on the SGX Mainboard. It also classifies them using ICB, the Industry Classification Benchmark, FTSE Russell’s global four‑tier sector taxonomy. Hong Leong Asia generated the highest gains with the Index in 2025 and 1H25 with respective 173% and 81% total returns, while Wee Hur Holdings and Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (Holdings) both led the Index in 2H25 with 57% total returns.Comprising 16 stocks within the Industrials sector under ICB, the Index also recorded S$265 million in net institutional inflows last year and maintained an average daily turnover (ADT) of S$193 million. Notably, Marco Polo Marine and Hong Leong Asia ranked among the top 10 stocks in the broader industrials group for both total returns and institutional inflows.Marco Polo Marine – Anchored in Stability, Navigating Tomorrow   Marco Polo Marine is a regional integrated marine logistics company, principally engaged in ship chartering and shipyard operations, with a strong presence in offshore support vessels and ship repair projects across Southeast Asia. In its FY25, the company expanded its fleet and capabilities, including the deployment of new vessels for the offshore wind and oil & gas sectors, and secured major contracts such as a S$198 million shipbuilding project for Taiwan’s National Academy of Marine Research. Its business model, as both designer and operator, positions it to support the full lifecycle of offshore renewables and marine infrastructure projects. In 1H25, the group delivered strong growth in powertrain unit sales and revenue, driven by export demand and new energy initiatives, while its building materials segment benefited from public and private sector projects in Singapore and operational improvements in Malaysia. Hong Leong Asia is also focused on sustainability, investing in low-carbon and circular solutions for urban environments, and has been recognised for its innovation and diversity standards. Its 1HFY25 Results Presentation is available here, and most recent publicly available research here.  2H25 Liquidity Growth HighlightsIn 2H25, several stocks within the Industrials Sector experienced remarkable growth in trading activity compared to 1H25. Catalist-listed Sanli Environmental’s 2H25 ADT surged nearly 75 times, while Soilbuild Construction Group saw a 26-fold increase and Low Keng Huat (Singapore) recorded a 25-fold surge. Sunpower Group’s ADT expanded 22 times, ASL Marine Holdings grew 18 times, and Vallianz Holdings rose 12 times over the same period. KSH Holdings and Lum Chang Holdings both posted around 10- to 11-fold increases in ADT, while Spindex Industries and Ever Glory United Holdings each saw their 2H25 ADT rise by about 8 times versus 1H25. This dramatic uplift in liquidity across these names highlights a significant broadening of investor participation and market interest in the second half of the year.
