SGS said it will acquire information-security company Panacea Infosec as it looks to boost its revenue from digital-trust services.

The Swiss testing, inspection and certification specialist said Monday that the integration of India-based Panacea Infosec will strengthen the company's position in the payment- and information-security markets. Panacea Infosec employs more than 90 cybersecurity professionals and offers services to a range of industries, SGS said.

SGS said it is targeting an additional 200 million Swiss francs, equivalent to $252.4 million, in annual revenue from digital-trust services by next year compared with 2023. That "underscores the strategic importance of this acquisition in driving growth and innovation," it said.

The company didn't set out the financial details of the acquisition.
