Swiss stocks - Factors to watch on January 7

ZURICH/GDANSK, Jan 7 (Reuters) - Here are some of the main factors that may affect Swiss stocks on Wednesday:

NESTLE NESN.S

Nestle said on Tuesday it is recalling some batches of its key infant nutrition products across Europe due to potential contamination with a toxin that could cause nausea and vomiting. Saudi Arabia's Food and Drug Authority later on Tuesday warned against the consumption of selected Nestle infant formula, Saudi state news agency SPA reported.

Swisscom SCMN.S

Swisscom's Italian unit Fastweb and Telecom Italia (TIM) TLIT.MI are nearing a mobile network-sharing deal to cut costs of upgrading and operating their 5G infrastructure across Italy, three sources said.

COMPANY STATEMENTS

* ALCON ALCC.S said it is terminating the agreement to acquire STAAR SurgicalSTAA.O, which failed to secure enough shareholder votes to approve the deal.
