Health care stocks were lower Monday afternoon, with the NYSE Health Care Index easing 0.2% and the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) shedding 0.6%.
The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) fell 1.9%.
In corporate news, Novo Nordisk (NVO) said Monday its Wegovy pill is now "broadly" available in the US for weight loss in adults with obesity or who are overweight and have weight-related medical problems. Novo shares gained nearly 5%, and Novo's rival Eli Lilly (LLY) was retreating 3.9%.
LifeMD (LFMD) shares jumped past 14% after it said Monday it has expanded its collaboration with Novo Nordisk to offer eligible patients the oral version of Wegovy.
WW International (WW) shares rose 5.7% after it said Monday it is incorporating the Wegovy pill into its weight health GLP-1 platform.
