Honda Motor (HMC) and Princeton NuEnergy have signed a memorandum of understanding to advance talks on collaboration regarding next-generation lithium-ion battery recycling technologies, Princeton NuEnergy said Monday.
Under the agreement, the companies will discuss joint validation projects and evaluate the potential for future commercial-scale applications, according to a statement.
The partnership framework aligns with Honda's global electrification strategy and Princeton NuEnergy's closed-loop platform aimed at producing battery-grade cathode active materials more cost efficiently, Princeton NuEnergy said.
