0922 GMT - U.S. semiconductor company Microchip Technology's third-quarter guidance raise is a positive signal for European peers Infineon and STMicroelectronics, analysts at Citi write. The slide in semiconductor supply over recent months and above-average demand flagged by Microchip is a clearly positive read-across to the European names, the analysts say. Analog semiconductor companies are poised to rally, the analysts add, with potential for the European companies to beat revenue expectations for latest quarter and improve their outlooks for 2026. Infineon climbs 3.95%, while STMicroelectronics gains around 2.5% in both Milan and Paris. (josephmichael.stonor@wsj.com)
