MT Newswires Live01-09

China's State Administration for Market Regulation and the food safety commission of the state council will enhance its oversight of the quality and safety of infant formula products, Xinhua News Agency reported Thursday.

The statement comes after regulators called on Nestlé in China to recall a number of batches of infant formula products from the market after its parent recalled certain batches in some European nations, the report said.

Nestlé China has already complied with the recall, the report said.

China's listed infant formula manufacturers include Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group (SHA:600887), China Feihe (HKG:6186), Health & Happiness (HKG:1112), and AusNutria (HKG:1717).
