1539 ET - GE Vernova faces rising concerns from investors regarding power capacity and a potential oversupply in the market, Baird analysts say in a note. The worries come after several competitors announced plans to enter the power space, including the likes of Doosan, FTAI Aviation and Caterpillar, the analysts say. As new capacity comes online, GE Vernova's pricing power for new bookings will likely come under pressure, they say. Such concerns could dominate the narrative around the stock in the near term, though the company will likely still be able to meet or exceed estimates through 2028, they say. "Our long-term outlook for GEV as a leader in both power and electrification and viewing GEV as a core holding are unchanged, but we are moving to the sidelines near term," they say, downgrading the stock to neutral from outperform.(kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
