Nextpower, Generac Aligning With Value in 2026 as Cleantech Sector Shifts to Execution, BofA Securities Says

MT Newswires Live01-10

Nextpower (NXT) and Generac Holdings (GNRC) are among the top cleantech firms that "align with where value is accruing" in 2026 as the sector shifts to execution after outperformance in 2025, BofA Securities said in a Friday note.

The sector now enters a "more selective" phase and BofA Securities said execution quality, balance sheet, and capital-markets access will drive outcomes for cleantech companies, listing Nextpower, Generac Holdings, Clearway Energy (CWEN), and Shoals Technologies Group (SHLS) as its top picks.

BofA Securities also said solar remains the primary and cheapest form in new generation, with First Solar (FSLR) as the "cleanest, de-risked" module option.

BofA Securities raised its price target on First Solar stock to $291 from $255, while reiterating its buy rating.
