0952 GMT - BE Semiconductor Industries' fourth-quarter results show a notable positive surprise, ING analyst Marc Hesselink writes in a note. The Dutch manufacturer of chip-making equipment reported a double-digit percentage increase in orders for the period, partly boosted by demand from Asian subcontractors for data-center applications. The company this year is expected to benefit from sustained AI demand, a recovery in mainstream packaging after a two-year downturn, and continued growth in advanced chip bonding, Hesselink says. If these trends continue, results could exceed current estimates over the coming years, he adds. Shares are up 8.4% at 163.80 euros. (najat.kantouar@wsj.com)
