Shake Shack Competes in 'Market Share' Game -- Market Talk

8:58 ET -- Restaurants are fiercely competing for traffic among skittish consumers, with Shake Shack saying that it's increasing its marketing to better help its burgers stand out. The company last year scaled up its marketing in digital media, while also promoting new deals to app users. CEO Rob Lynch says at a consumer conference Monday that chains are competing in a "market share" game today, making promotions and targeted marketing all the more important.
