Energy stocks were mostly higher premarket Monday, with the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) gaining 0.2%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was down 0.01%, while the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 2.5% higher.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down 0.3% to $58.94 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil declined 0.2% to $63.22 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 1.8% higher at $3.23 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Kosmos Energy (KOS) shares were 2% higher in recent premarket activity after the company said its Kosmos Energy GTA unit plans to offer $350 million total principal amount of senior secured bonds due 2031 in the Nordic bond market.
