"Walmart always seems to have a pre-meditated response to competitor developments, whether from Target, Amazon, or anyone else," the analysts say. Walmart's wellness business could see a comparable sales headwind as the maximum fair-price legislation lowering certain drug prices takes effect, but the health and wellness vertical remains an "emerging and high growth area" for both Walmart and Target, the analysts say.
