Tata Power Commissions 400/220 kV TP Jalpura Khurja Transmission Line Substation in India

The Tata Power Co. (NSE:TATAPOWER, BOM:500400) has commissioned the 400/220 kV Metro Depot Substation and associated transmission lines in Greater Noida, India, according to a Friday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.

The new infrastructure has added 1,000 MVA capacity to meet the load demand in and around Greater Noida and the National Capital Region in India. Surplus power from the system will be fed into the Northern Grid to cater to the power demand across other northern states of India.

This intra-state transmission system has been executed under TP Jalpura Khurja Transmission, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power.

The company's shares were down over 1% in recent trade.
