TotalEnergies' (TTE) $20 billion liquefied natural gas project in Mozambique is expected to restart within a few weeks, according to Daniel Chapo, the country's president, as reported by Bloomberg.

"If everything goes well, we may be able to resume effectively in late January or early February," Chapo reportedly said in an interview.

TotalEnergies did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment. The office of the Mozambican president could not be contacted.
