Enovix (ENVX) said Tuesday additional testing by an independent lab confirmed that its AI-1 smartphone battery delivers 935 watt-hours per liter, or Wh/L, volumetric energy density, which is above the performance of a leading commercially available smartphone battery tested by 12%.
Many commercially available lithium-ion smartphone batteries use silicon-doped graphite anodes, while Enovix's technology allows the use of 100% active silicon anodes, the company said.
