American Honda, Honda Motor's (HMC) North American unit, said Wednesday it projecting total sales of 1.5 million units in 2026, up 4% compared to last year.
Lance Woelfer, vice president of sales, said in a media briefing that the Honda brand is projecting sales of about 1.35 million units and the Acura brand is targeting sales of around 135,000 units in 2026.
American Honda is entering 2026 with a lower-than-average days' supply as it continues to recover from supply chain disruptions that occurred in the fall of last year, Woelfer said.
Woelfer said American Honda will increase production of more value-oriented trims of core Honda models like the CR-V, Civic, Accord and Acura models like ADX and Integra in 2026 amid rising average new car prices.
