Klarna (KLAR) said Wednesday it has launched an instant peer-to-peer payment feature in 13 European countries to allow users to send money directly through its application.
The service enables transfers between customers via phone numbers or email addresses and will eventually expand to include cross-border payments and non-users, the company said.
Global deposits at the digital bank reached $14 billion in September 2025, nearly doubling the $9.5 billion held in August 2024, Klarna said.
The firm is also researching stablecoin-based payment options to improve the efficiency of its transfer system, it said.
Shares of the company were up by 1% in recent Wednesday premarket activity.
