China Continues to Dominate Humanoid Robots Sector -- Market Talk

Dow Jones01-13

0224 GMT - China continues to maintain a dominant presence in the humanoid robots sector, Daiwa analyst Kelvin Lau writes in a note. Humanoids are yet to match human capabilities, Lau says, and expects their development to accelerate. The recently held annual tech show, CES 2026, featured 598 robotics exhibitors, including 149 from China, he notes. In the humanoid pavilion, 21 out of 38 companies were from China, continuing their strong presence from last year, he says. Among the robot stocks, Daiwa prefers Dobot and UBTech. Also, the coming listings of Unitree and AgiBot in China could further boost investor sentiment on robotic themes.(jiahui.huang@wsj.com; @ivy_jiahuihuang)
