Airbus Could Set Strong Aircraft-Delivery Target This Year -- Market Talk

Dow Jones01-13

0940 GMT - Airbus could aim for a high aircraft-delivery goal this year after ending 2025 with several planes in its inventory, Jefferies analysts write in a note to clients. The European plane maker could guide for about 900 deliveries in 2026 compared with the 793 aircraft it delivered last year, they say. The company ended 2025 with 19 aircraft and about 30 gliders--planes awaiting engines--in its inventory, the analysts note. This should be enough for the group to guide for more than 100 extra deliveries this year and potentially beat that target, they say. The analysts estimate Airbus will deliver 917 planes. Airbus shares trade 0.4% higher at 216.95 euros. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)
