The ad hoc judges' allowances have so far been regulated under presidential regulations that have remained unchanged for 13 years. On the other hand, starting in 2025, as outlined in Government Regulation (PP) Number 42 of 2025, allowances for career judges have been raised in varying amounts, ranging from Rp46.7 million to Rp110.5 million per month.These, however, do not apply for ad hoc judges, which include those dealing with corruption cases, human rights cases, fisheries-related cases, and others. After years of demanding the amendment to Regulation Number 5 of 2013 and the welfare of ad hoc judges, FSHA has finally called for a national strike movement. Even one judge at the Samarinda Corruption Court, Mahpudin, staged a sudden walkout from a court proceeding on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
