0922 GMT - SM Entertainment faces a "pivotal" year for U.S. expansion, CGS International's Jiwoo Oh says in a note. Its earnings and valuation upside hinge on a successful push into the U.S. market, where fan-based expansion is likely to unlock higher touring and merchandise revenue, Oh says. While growing fan bases for artist groups NCT WISH and RIIZE are set to drive 9% growth in both sales and operating profit for 2026, the company's current intellectual-property strength remains largely Asia-focused, Oh notes. CGSI trims its target price to KRW150,000 from KRW180,000 on more conservative album and concert revenue estimates, while reiterating an add rating, noting downside risks are mostly priced in. Shares closed 0.2% higher at KRW112,900. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
