Prudential (HKG:2378, SGX:K6S) said Chair Shriti Vadera will retire from the board following the insurer's annual general meeting on May 28, ending a six-year tenure, according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing.

The insurer said Sir Douglas Flint has been appointed chair-designate to succeed Vadera.

Flint is expected to join the board in March, subject to regulatory approval.

Flint previously spent more than two decades at HSBC (HKG:0005), serving as group finance director from 1995 to 2010 and as group chair from 2010 to 2017. He has chaired Aberdeen Group and IP Group since 2018, the filing showed.
