Playtika will cut its workforce by 15% in the first quarter and aims to reinvest the savings in growth initiatives, the company said Wednesday.
The mobile game developer said it expects to incur costs of $12 million to $15 million stemming from severance, notice period payments, employee benefits and related costs.
"While the plan is expected to result in operating expense efficiencies, the company anticipates reinvesting a substantial portion of these expense reductions to advance growth initiatives," Playtika said. "Accordingly, the impact on overall profitability will depend on timing and scope of these investments."
