Edion to Absorb Wholly Owned Unit PTN in April

Edion (TYO:2730) will merge its consolidated subsidiary PTN into the parent company through an absorption-type merger effective April 1, according to a Friday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

PTN, which has effectively ceased operations, will be dissolved, with Edion as the surviving entity. No new shares will be issued and no capital increase will be carried out, the retailer said.
