Quantum Shares Rise Following Upbeat Revenue Outlook

Shares of Quantum climbed after the company guided for higher-than-expected revenue in its fiscal third quarter.

The stock rose 7.1%, to $8.03, Thursday. Despite the gain, shares have lost nearly 80% of their value over the past year.

Quantum said it now expects to report revenue of $70.7 million to $74.7 million for its three months ended Dec. 31, topping its previous outlook for between $65 million and $69 million.

Operating expenses for the quarter are projected to come in around $28.1 million, or around $26.9 million on an adjusted basis.

The company plans to report its full results for the quarter by mid-February, it said.
