Nordic Equities Tumble on Trump Greenland Tariffs -- Market Talk

1133 GMT - Nordic indexes fall following President Trump's promise to impose 10% tariffs on European countries as part of his efforts to pressure Denmark into selling Greenland. The Danish OMXC 20 index falls 2.9%, while the Swedish OMXS 30 and Norwegian OBX drop 2.1% and 1.4%, respectively. All three countries are among those against which Trump threatened to levy tariffs. In Copenhagen, pharmaceutical companies sell off most steeply. Genmab falls 6.45%, while Zealand Pharma and Coloplast both fall around 4.8%. Mega-cap Novo Nordisk drops 2.9%. Luxury jeweler Pandora also tumbles, falling 3.7%. The company is particularly exposed to escalating U.S tariffs, analysts at Morgan Stanley write, with 17% of the company's revenue tied to goods exported to the U.S. (josephmichael.stonor@wsj.com)
