** Shares of health insurer Alignment Healthcare ALHC.O rise 1.6% to $22.86 premarket

** Co appoints Adnan Mansour as chief digital officer

** Mansour, previously at Optum Insight, oversees digital strategy and the AI-powered AVA platform - ALHC

**  Co says Mansour will start in the role on January 19, reporting to CEO John Kao, with a focus on expanding digital capabilities for senior care

** Adds health plan membership is about 275,300 as of January 1, up 31% from a year earlier

** As of last close, stock up ~76% over the past year
