NetEase Cloud Music Signs Multi-Year China Licensing Deal With Universal Music Group

NetEase Cloud Music (HKG:9899) and Universal Music Group entered into a multi-year licensing agreement covering UMG's global music catalog in China, according to a Monday press release.

Under the deal, NetEase Cloud Music will distribute UMG's global recording catalog across its streaming platform and related digital services, spanning both Chinese and international artists across multiple genres and eras.

The companies will also collaborate on marketing initiatives and product development aimed at enhancing fan engagement and promoting Chinese artists alongside UMG's global roster, the press release said.
