MT Newswires Live01-20

Nvidia (NVDA) and Microsoft (MSFT) plan to invest up to $15 billion in Anthropic, which is targeting to raise at least $25 billion for a $350 billion valuation, the Financial Times reported Sunday, citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter.

According to the sources, Sequoia Capital is also joining a funding round, along with Coatue and Singapore's sovereign wealth fund. The venture capitalists and other investors are looking into an investment of at least $10 billion, the sources added.

Funding talks are ongoing and the investment figures are not final, with Anthropic yet to pick the investors to participate in the funding round, two of the sources said. The funding round is expected to close in a few weeks.

Nvidia, Microsoft, and Anthropic did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comments.
