11:32 ET--The trends that boosted the space technology industry in 2025 are likely to carry over into 2026, setting up another strong year for the sector, Morgan Stanley analysts write in a note. Large constellations on orbit, such as SpaceX's Starlink and Amazon Leo, continue to grow, as does launch activity. The analysts also see opportunities for space tech firms to get government contracts, including Golden Dome contracts expected to begin flowing into the industry this year, as the Trump administration embraces the industry and increasingly looks for commercial solutions to government problems. Fraying U.S. relations with the European Union and space competition with China could also strengthen the government's partnership with the private sector.(elias.schisgall@wsj.com)
