Brookfield Asset Management (BAM) has signed a long-term strategic cooperation agreement with Azerbaijan's sovereign wealth fund SOFAZ worth up to $1.4 billion, multiple media outlets reported Wednesday.
Under the agreement, SOFAZ will explore opportunities to invest in Brookfield-managed funds and joint investment projects over the next three to four years, according to the reports.
Brookfield and SOFAZ did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
