Under Armour (UAA) is investigating claims of a customer purchase data breach in November after the "Have I Been Pwned" website notified the sportswear retailer's 72 million customers that their information had been compromised, TechCrunch reported Thursday, citing a company spokesperson.
The Everest ransomware gang claimed responsibility and posted the data on its dark web leak site at that time, and the stolen data contained names, email addresses, genders, dates of birth, customers' locations, and purchase data, Have I Been Pwned said Wednesday.
Under Armour didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
