Staar Surgical $(STAA)$ Broadwood Partners raised its stake in the maker of implantable lenses to 15,479,529 shares. Broadwood did so through the purchase of 1,934,138 Staar Surgical shares from Nov. 19, 2025, through Jan. 9, 2026, at per share prices of $20.92 to $28.23. On Jan. 8, Alcon announced the termination of its definitive merger agreement with Staar, which was valued at about $1.6 billion.

On Jan. 14, Broadwood entered into a cooperation agreement with the company, pursuant to which Staar agreed to add three Broadwood designees to its board and Broadwood agreed to a standstill through June 18.

Following the latest purchases, Broadwood owns a 31.1% stake in Staar's outstanding stock. Shares of Staar have lost roughly 13.4% of their value in 2026.

Original Filings

Dynatrace (DT) Pictet Asset Management disclosed a new position in the IT infrastructure software company of 15,505,360 shares. Pictet reported that it purchased 1,435,146 Dynatrace shares from Nov. 18, 2025, through Jan. 15, 2026, at per share prices of $39.38 to $46.36, then sold 129,113 shares from Nov. 17 through Jan. 15 at $40.28 to $46.45.

Following the latest activity, Pictet continues to own a 5.1% stake in Dynatrace's outstanding stock. Shares of Dynatrace have lost about 7.1% of their value in 2026.

Increases in Holdings

Gold Royalty (GROY) Tether Holdings raised its stake in the gold-focused royalty company to 26,117,792 shares. Tether Holdings did so through the purchase of 3,354,199 Gold Royalty shares from Dec. 2, 2025, through Jan. 15, 2026, at per share prices of $4.15 to $4.88.

Following the latest purchases, Tether Holdings owns an 11.7% stake in Gold Royalty's outstanding stock. Shares of Gold Royalty have gained roughly 20.3% in value since the beginning of this year.

Pearson$(PSO)$ Cevian Capital II increased its stake in the global digital learning company to 97,886,356 shares. Cevian Capital did so through the purchase of 7,703,598 Pearson shares from Dec. 9, 2025, through Jan. 15, 2026, at per share prices ranging from $13.15 to $14.04.

Following the latest purchases, Cevian Capital continues to own a 15.4% stake in Pearson's outstanding stock. Shares of Pearson have lost roughly 7% of their value since the beginning of this year.

W.R. Berkley $(WRB)$ Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance raised its stake in the property-casualty insurer to 52,726,504 shares. Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance did so through the purchase of 4,124,916 W.R. Berkley shares from Dec. 18, 2025, through Jan. 14, 2026, at per share prices ranging from $67.57 to $71.18.

Following the latest purchases, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance continues to own a 13.9% stake in W.R. Berkley's outstanding stock. Shares of W.R. Berkley have lost roughly 2.3% of their value since the beginning of this year.
