Shares of Oportun Financial jumped after the company raised its revenue guidance.
The shares rose 13% to $5.45 in after hours trading on Tuesday. The stock has climbed 27% in the past year.
The company said it expects fourth-quarter revenue between $246 million and $248 million, higher than its previous guidance of $241 million to $246 million for the period. Wall Street is expecting $241.4 million, according to FactSet.
Full-year revenue is anticipated to be between $955 million and $957 million, compared with the company's previous forecast of $950 million to $955 million. Analysts polled by FactSet are looking for $949.3 million.
The company sees preliminary fourth-quarter adjusted earnings of 23 cents to 27 cents per share, compared with the 28 cents a share analysts expect. For fiscal year 2025, the company anticipates earnings per share between $1.32 and $1.36, while Wall Street is expecting $1.36 per share, according to FactSet.
Oportun has also begun its search for its next chief executive after announcing that Raul Vazquez will step down.
