Apple (AAPL) said it will start showing more ads in App Store search results from March 3 as it seeks to grow its advertising business and increase services revenue, MacRumors reported Friday, citing the company's email to developers this week.
The new ad slots will debut in the UK and Japan before expanding to markets including the US by the end of March, with multiple paid placements beyond the top search result.
Apple said the extra ads will roll out in stages worldwide and will be shown on iPhone and iPad devices running iOS 26.2 or iPadOS 26.2 and later, with paid placements clearly marked as ads.
Apple didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
