Fifth Third Promotes Deputy to Chief Credit Officer

Fifth Third Bancorp promoted Kristof Schneider, its deputy chief credit officer, to succeed the retiring Greg Schroeck as chief credit officer.
The company said Friday that Schneider has worked at Fifth Third for more than two decades, including as credit risk executive for the commercial bank, leader of the special assets group and credit risk manager for the regions.
Schroeck served more than 35 years with Fifth Third before retiring in 2021 and returning in 2023 to lead the credit business.
