Echo IQ Not Aware of Undisclosed Information Explaining Recent Trading of Securities; Shares Reach Nine-Year High

MT Newswires Live01-23

Echo IQ (ASX:EIQ) said it is not aware of any undisclosed information that could explain the recent trading in its securities, according to its response to an Australian Securities Exchange price query filed with the Australian bourse on Friday.

The query was referring to the change in the price of the company's securities to a high of AU$0.49 on Thursday from a close of AU$0.41 on Wednesday, as well as the increase in the volume of its securities traded, the filing said.

The company said increased investor interest in the artificial intelligence, technology and healthcare sectors may have boosted market attention on companies operating in such areas, per the filing.

The company maintained that it complies with the ASX Listing Rules.

Shares rose past 5% in midday trade Friday and earlier reached their highest since January 2017.
