** Hong Kong shares of Baidu 9888.HK rise 4.7% to HK$160.9, their highest level since February 2023

** Stock set for the biggest one-day pct gain since January 12 on the fourth straight session of rise; top pct gainer in Hang Seng Tech Index .HSTECH, which is up 0.1%

** Jefferies, with "buy" rating and target price of HK$176, says Baidu releases the official version of ERNIE 5.0

** "It delivers strong performance across omni-modal understanding, creative writing, and instruction following," Jefferies wrote in a note

** It incorporates diffusion-based generation for high-quality outputs; achieves 240% speedup in pre-training cycle - Jefferies
