Microsoft (MSFT) said Friday it has restored access to its Microsoft 365 productivity services following a widespread outage.

In a post on social media platform X, Microsoft said there was a portion of service infrastructure in North America that is "not processing traffic as expected."

"We've restored access to the affected services and mail flow remains stable," the company said. "While recovery efforts remain ongoing, we are methodically addressing the small number of remaining affected services to ensure fully service stability."

The disruption affected services including Outlook, Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview.
