Lai Yih Footwear's (TPE:6890) Indonesian unit, Yih You Footwear Indonesia, awarded a construction deal worth 290.9 billion Indonesian rupiah, according to a Thursday Taiwan Exchange filing.
Shares slid 2% in Friday's late morning trade.
The company awarded the deal to Indowin Engineering Indonesia to build a factory on its own land.
The project is aimed at meeting the group's operational requirements, it added.
