Bombardier's Global 8000 has received certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency.

The plane maker said Friday that its ultra-long-range aircraft entered into service in December, after receiving certifications from U.S. and Canadian aviation authorities. The Global 8000 is the fastest civilian aircraft since the Concorde, and offers the lowest cabin altitude in business aviation, the company said.

The lower cabin altitude may minimize the physiological stress of high altitude travel, and produce a more comfortable flight experience for passengers, it added.

"This accomplishment further strengthens the momentum behind this groundbreaking business jet," said Stephen McCullough, executive vice president of engineering and product development. "Following its entry into service in 2025, the entire Bombardier team is eager for this aircraft to be handed over to more customers this coming year so they can experience the new levels of comfort, wellness and efficiency the Global 8000 unlocks."
