AES Andes abandons $10 bln green hydrogen project in Chile

SANTIAGO, Jan 23 (Reuters) - AES Andes said on Friday it abandoned a $10 billion green hydrogen and ammonia project in Chile to prioritize its renewable energy portfolio.

The AES Corp unit, which generates and sells power in Chile, Colombia and Argentina, said in a statement the decision reflected its focus on expanding renewable energy and energy storage.
