1527 ET - Wall Street breathes a sigh of relief after Trump backed off on tariff threats over Greenland. The dollar is rising and so are stock indexes, following his social-media post mentioning "a very productive meeting that I have had with the Secretary General of NATO, Mark Rutte." Trump says a framework has been formed "of a future deal with respect to Greenland and, in fact, the entire Arctic Region." It isn't clear whether Trump got any concessions from his threat, or if he retreated after a negative reaction across global markets, in a potential Trump-Always-Chickens-Out event.
