DAVOS: NATO Needs to Discuss Heightened Arctic Security Measures, Finland's President Says -- Market Talk

1003 GMT - NATO needs to kick-start a process to work on strengthening security in the Arctic region in the run-up to its summit in Ankara scheduled for July 7-8, Finland's President Alexander Stubb tells the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Speaking at the same panel, European Investment Bank President Nadia Calvino says the EIB has seen a "sea change" in the last two years, extending the scope of projects it finances to cover also security and defense. The EIB raised its finance ceiling to 100 billion euros in 2026, of which 4.5 billion euros will finance security and defense within the European Union. (cristina.gallardo@wsj.com)
