Financial stocks were leaning lower pre-bell Monday, with the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) marginally declining.
The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was slightly lower and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was up 0.3%.
Cboe Global Markets (CBOE) stock was up more than 3% after the company said it has named Scott Johnston as chief operating officer, effective Feb. 17, replacing Chris Isaacson, who will retire from that role, effective March 6.
