Ryanair's Italian Competition Fine Dents Net Profit -- Market Talk

0705 GMT - Ryanair's third-quarter net profit of 30 million euros, 63% below consensus, took a hit from a provision of 85 million euros to cover for about a third of a fine imposed by the Italian competition watchdog in late December, Bernstein analyst Alex Irving says. However, the company now sees fiscal 2026 traffic improving on demand and earlier-than-expected Boeing deliveries, with fares also rising he notes. (cristina.gallardo@wsj.com)
