Brightstar Resources (ASX:BTR) said it plans to complete the remaining 19 kilometers of infill drilling in the March quarter for inclusion in the pre-feasibility study for the Sandstone gold project in Western Australia, which is targeted for delivery in the September quarter, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
Three drilling rigs are mobilizing to Sandstone to start the 2026 infill and extensional drilling programs with the majority of drilling to be growth-focused, the filing said. It budgeted 100 kilometers of drilling at the project this year across extensional drilling of existing resources and greenfield targets.
Technical work streams in support of the maiden ore reserve are advancing in parallel with geotechnical and metallurgical studies as well as mine planning and scheduling, the filing said.
The company's shares shed about 1% in recent Tuesday trade.
