GoldMining (GLDG) said Monday that its diamond core drilling program at its Sao Jorge Project in Brazil's Tapajos region totaled 3,862 meters and located gold mineralization below the existing mineral resource estimate.
The company highlighted results from a drill hole which intersected 19 meters at 1 gram per metric ton of gold from 425 meters depth, located within a broader zone of 73 meters at 0.54 grams per metric ton of gold from 422 meters depth.
The company said it has recently remobilized its geophysical survey team to continue expanding the survey area east of the existing grid and "results so far support the broader potential for future extensions."
Shares of the company were up 14.5% in recent premarket activity Monday.
