S&P 500 Crosses 7000 for First Time -- WSJ

-- The S&P 500 rallied past 7000 for the first time shortly after Wednesday's open.

-- The broad-market gauge was up around 0.3% in recent trading, trading at around 6996.

-- That puts it on track for its fifth record close of 2026 if it holds gains. It last hit a record high yesterday.

-- The Nasdaq composite and Nasdaq-100 are also both on track to close at all-time highs. They last hit such records on Oct. 29, according to Dow Jones Market Data.
